IAN ROBERTSON - Acoustic Music
Check out some music from friends on other sites
I believe that musicians should help each other out by ways of spreading the word, so I have added some mini players from some friends that I have met either in person or through other sites. I think they are really worth a listen.

I WILL CHANGE THESE PLAYERS EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE SO KEEP LOOKING IN FOR NEW ARTISTS These mini players have more than one song on then, you can use the >> or << buttons to change songs. (I wrote this part because some people thought there was only one song per player)

Rantum Scantum a duo who are well known in the musical haunts of Edinburgh's Old town are up there with my favourites. They are now beginning to find their way around Europe and are going down a storm.
They combine a great mix of well written original songs with contemporary & cleverly reworked traditional songs. Bobby Nicholson (guitar & vocal), Eddy Hanson (violin & vocal) have recently released their 3rd CD and it is a master piece. Bobby with his strong guitar rythms and unique style combine well with Eddy's amazing violin playing. Theirs is a show not to miss.

Emma Moray from France is an artist that has caught my attention with her well arranged self penned songs as well as creating some clever interpretations of well known songs.
I love her style and her beautiful voice.

Broom Bezzums based in Weisenheim, Germany are Mark Bloomer:Vocals, guitar, mandolin & Andrew Cadie:Vocals, fiddle, guitar, Northumbrian pipes. This is a brilliant Folk duo who blend some great musical talents with good traditional singing.
The press proclaims the pair as “congenial, quick-witted and fun-loving”, describing their music as “very soulful - a breathtaking fireworks display of technically impressive playing“. Roots magazine described Andrew’s self-penned songs as “quite outstanding”.

Genevieve Little is one of the best singer songwriters to come out of Australia for a long. With a voice full of power, passion and soul she can't fail to make an impact.
Having spent a lot of time juggling her music with her studies Genevieve finally managed to carry out part of her dream by going on a world tour followed by several months in the USA where her music was greeted with great enthusiasm. Just look at the comments that she receives on Myspace and you will see she is a popular artist.

Doghouse Roses Paul Tasker & Iona MacDonald make up this duo from Glasgow, Scotland. Excellent musical arrangements are complimented by Iona's voice pure, melodic and sometimes haunting. Tasker's undoubted guitar skills shine through and he also brings in some great harmony vocals.

Allan Robertson is a highly talented musician and songwriter who does not fall into one genre of music but covers a really wide spectrum. As well as writing and playing a lot of the parts on his songs he also records, engineers and produces them in his own home studio.

I got to know Thubten Kway through the pages of MySpace and he has since become a very good friend. Thubten and his family welcomed me and Jackie with open arms, a warmth and friendliness that overwhelmed us when we visited their home in Fellbach in October 2007.
Thubten records his music in a cupboard which, when you listen to what he does, is absolutely amazing.
Thanks Thubten my friend, and I look forward to seeing you again.

Mary Kathleen Burke, originally from Ireland but now firmly based in Scotland, has been described by Dr. Ian Green of Greentrax as "a brilliant talent". "I've been in the music business for more than 40 years," he said, "and I've not heard many like her".
I must agree, listen and see what you think.
